Shunga, Sex and Pleasure in Japanese Art

Shunga is a Japanese Term for Erotic Art, and it’s literal translation is “Pictures of Spring”, being Spring an euphenism for Sex. Very appropriate, now that is the end of Winter, and Spring is around the corner. Shunga is part of the ukiyo-e genre of woodblock prints and paintings common in the late 17th century.

The Britsh Museum had a beautiful exhibit, “Shunga, Sex and Pleasure in Japanese Art“, unfortunately it closed in January.

A day in the sun!! With these beautiful days it is impossible not to go outside... Have a lovely day my friends!!
Happy Mother's day!! Have a blessed day!
Today, I want the spirit of our mother nature to lend me her power to find peace and balance in life. I want to hear from my brother, the wind, his secrets and the music that he always play. I want to see the power of love present around me ... I want you with all my heart .. I want you, I want me to be together even when you are not around...
Have a great Easter Sunday!
You are my happy place...
